A Journey of Mine

Hy everyone, I'm going to share you about my journey in accomplishing my bachelor's degree, and here is the story began. I hope you enjoy it.

I have been graduated from senior high school in 2017 but I have to dedicate my knowledge to another boarding school as a requirement to get the certificate of my senior high school and I finished it in 2018. That Boarding School was located in the countryside far from the city and I have to spend around 12 hours getting there. It's not that easy to spend my whole life in the countryside I've never been there before. I have to stay there for a year and I teach an English lesson there, especially for classes 7 to 9, and I also teach an Arabic lesson for class 11.  It is such a great experience I have when I can meet them, teach them a lot, talk, and share about anything in life till the day I have to go for some tests to get into my dream university.

I start the journey in 2018 and I got the first test in Sukabumi with my friend by taking English Literature Degree but then I failed. I come to Semarang with my family for Eid Mubarok and I take some tests at two universities in Jogja but then I failed again. I don't stop here and am trying to find another university in central java. I decided to come to my childhood friend and she invites me to join her to study at the same university in Semarang. I took the test while am going to have a test in Jogja then I went to Semarang with my childhood friend's family and after that, I went to Jogja to get the next test. Before I went to Jogja, I have done a test and I succeeded when I have to wait for the result from the university in Jogja for a week but I have to make some decisions while I am still waiting for the result till I decided to take the opportunity to study in Semarang. 

I took an English Literature degree as I wanted and I spend 4 years finishing my study. I really don't know about being a student at university because no one in the family has ever studied there and I am the first one who can continue my study to get my bachelor's degree. I can't say my journey was easy because I have to adapt myself to around, how to connect each others, how to befriend with others, and actually how to develop myself on campus by joining any organization around faculty or campus. I met someone who affects me a lot or let's say she's an ambitious one in my class and she ask me to join an organization in my faculty with her then I joined, there's only two of us who join the organization for the first time when I was in the second semester even I still confused what to do being active in an organization.  

The third and fourth semester was doing well, even though I still have to adapt to others and I am still being active in that organization. I try to explore more organizations outside of my faculty and then I join two organizations, one in English debate skills and another one in teaching an Arabic lesson. I was happy being active in organizations on campus but am no longer staying in the English debate skill because my schedule going hectic than before and I decided to retire from them but I am still active in both organizations in my faculty and teaching Arabic lessons. 

The fifth and sixth semester was getting harder, then the coronavirus is coming to Indonesia and all of the activities on campus are getting online including online class, online seminar (webinar), organization activities, and so on. I was about to go home but my father forbid me, then I stay a little longer in my second house with my little family, like my grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and so on. It was a difficult time for anyone during the pandemic because we're having limited social mobility to go out and avoiding the coronavirus coming to our house. The pandemic really affects a lot of aspects in the world and it affects to the economic system, most of them are losing their job and starting online businesses in some online forms like shopee, tokopedia and others because they have to live their life as well. 

It also becomes a hard time for me, when I just arrived home for days and realize that my grandmother is got the coronavirus disease. I clean up all of the stuff in my house and I have to do it all alone. How hard it is for me till her condition is getting better, then I have to continue my next course for KKN for a month and continue to my next internship course in the immigration office in Semarang. After all my hard days are over, am starting to write my proposal writing and I start it in December. 

It was a long time since I never read a journal on the web and am really struggling with this till the day I really enjoy my reading and got me easier on working on my proposal writing. Day by day am working on my progress and I can finish it on the 5th of April. It was a happy day because I feel like my efforts is paid and I got an A for the proposal writing test. I don't forget to revise it and got a break for some of the days of the holiday. While the holiday, am still working on my final project because I really hope I can be graduated on September. I got into some trouble but it doesn't matter to me and am still doing it well till the day I get a schedule on the 15th of June. I prepared it well and I get an A again for the final project, am so happy because my efforts really really paid, and am really done great on those final tests for my bachelor's degree. 

Graduation day is coming and I really graduated on the 17th of September with CUMLAUDE PREDICATE as my father wished and am so happy that I can get it for my father. Thanks God, Thanks to my parents, lecturers, my unbiological family and I wanna thank myself for always enjoying the process.
